Dr. Raj Kumar (Secretary):Dr. Raj Kumar is presently working as a Librarian at Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla. Prior to this, he worked as a Hub Administrator at Biomedical hub, PGIMER, Chandigarh. He was a University librarian at A.C. Joshi Library at Panjab University from 2010 to 2018. Before joining P U Chandigarh he worked with prestigious institute like PGIMER and Govt. Medical College, Chandigarh from 1992 to 2010.He has contributed and presented about 33 papers at National and International conferences. He has a PHD (Library and Information Science) and M.A. in History, Public Administration,LLB, Dip. P M & amp; L W . Dr. Raj Kumar is a member of Medical Library Association of Indiaas Executive Member (1998-2000), as Joint Secretary(2000-2006) and as Secretary(2006 to till date), Life Member of the Indian Library Association, Secretary of Chandigarh Adventures Association and Member of NDLTD in the year 2009. He is the member-editorial board of the Panjab University Social science Journal. He organized many International and National Conferences, conventions and Seminars, and a number of workshops and exhibitions for working library and information professionals. His major contribution areas are the implementation of RFID technology , digital library initiatives , and Digitization of 7000 Ph.D. thesis of P U Chandigarh, Signage system and implementing information literacy.
