Mr. Qumar Abbas (Technical Advisor): 

He is currently working as a Deputy Librarian, Government Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer. He has working Experience 22+ years in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS).He has done B.A. (Geography Honours), M.A. (Geography), MLIS, M.Phil. (LIS) & Ph.D. (LIS).He is also completed CPDL, RSCIT, and Library Automation Courses from UGC, NISCAIR, DELNET, etc.

He is an Editor of Infopreneurs: Library Professionals Journal of RTLA, Editor-Indian Journal of Library Science Research & Information Technology & Editor-Pustkalay Research Journal of Information Technology and Library Science.

He contributed 4 Conference Proceedings & 3 Edited Books as an Editor.

He is Associated with various University LIS Departments and has experience teaching students of DLIS, BLIS.

​He is participated in 50 seminars, workshops, and conferences.He is also Presented/Published 30 papers in National and International Conferences/Journals. He is successfully coordinated and served as Webinar Technical Coordinator & Organizing Secretary for:11 Webinars of the Medical Library Association of India,3 Webinars of ASLIP,3 Webinars of the Rajasthan Technical Library Association (RTLA).He is Organizing Secretary for major conferences, including:68th ILA International Conference-2023,  ASLIP CONCLAVE 2023 - International Conference on Library Technology Relationship, National Conference on Multidisciplinary Research, trends and approaches (held at SKDU, Hanumangarh) &Convenor of KOHA Workshop-2024 (held at SKIT, Jaipur).

​Current Roles:

​Presently he is Senior Advisor of the Rajasthan Technical Library Association (RTLA), working for LIS Professional development in Rajasthan; He is Technical Adviser of ASLIP & Open Council Member of ILA (2025-28).

​Former Roles (RTLA): Served as Council Member, Treasurer, Vice President, and President. He is also Ex. Treasurer of FHSLA & Vice President of Rajasthani Medical Library Association.

​He is also a Life Member: ILA, RTLA, FHSLA, ASLIP, JALIS.
